Abstract

Caesarean Scar Ectopic Pregnancy (CSEP) is on the rise with increasing in the maternal age of delivery, rate of caesarean section, medically assisted procreation procedures & better diagnostic modalities.

Therefore, prompt and correct diagnosis and decision about treatment are important to reduce mortality and morbidity.

Expertise from both gynecologist and radiologist is needed.

Here is a case report of CSEP with positive embryo’s cardiac activity with conservative management.

Diagnosis was made through history, clinical examination, serum beta human chorionic gonadotrophin (𝛽HCG) levels, Trans vaginal ultrasonography and color doppler study. Mifepristone and Methotrexate was the primary treatment modality, and the future fertility was preserved. The follow up was done by serum 𝛽HCG and Ultra-sound scan.

We were successfully treated this case of first trimester caesarian scar ectopic pregnancy with viable embryo with mifepristone & methotrexate & preserved her future fertility.
