The Obstetric Emergencies session will focus on the critical management and interventions required in urgent and life-threatening situations that may arise during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. This session will provide healthcare professionals with essential knowledge and skills to handle obstetric emergencies effectively.

Identification and Classification of Obstetric Emergencies: Overview of common obstetric emergencies, including their classification based on urgency and severity. The session will cover key conditions such as preeclampsia, eclampsia, placental abruption, placenta previa, and uterine rupture.

Management of Preeclampsia and Eclampsia: Detailed discussion on the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of preeclampsia and eclampsia. The session will include management strategies such as antihypertensive therapy, magnesium sulfate administration, and indications for delivery.

Handling Postpartum Hemorrhage: Examination of the causes, prevention, and management of Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH). The session will cover interventions including uterotonics, manual removal of the placenta, and surgical options, as well as guidelines for monitoring and supportive care.

Emergency Management of Placental Abruption and Placenta Previa: Strategies for diagnosing and managing placental abruption and placenta previa, including the use of ultrasound, the management of vaginal bleeding, and decisions regarding delivery.
