Maternal-Fetal Medicine and High-Risk Pregnancy session focuses on the assessment and management of high-risk pregnancies involving maternal complications, fetal conditions and complex perinatal risks. It addresses hypertensive disorders, fetal growth restriction, preterm birth, gestational diabetes and maternal medical disorders, alongside prenatal diagnosis, advanced fetal imaging and selected fetal interventions. The programme also examines placental disorders, multiple pregnancy, fetal surveillance and stillbirth prevention, with emphasis on multidisciplinary assessment, individualized management and improving maternal and perinatal outcomes.

High-risk pregnancy requires early recognition of maternal and fetal complications, accurate risk assessment and coordinated multidisciplinary management. Advances in prenatal diagnosis, fetal imaging, maternal monitoring and selected fetal interventions are expanding the ability to identify and manage complex conditions, while reducing adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes remains a major clinical priority. This session focuses on translating evolving evidence into individualized strategies for high-risk pregnancy care.

Does my Research Fit?

Original clinical, observational, experimental, translational, epidemiological, fetal-medicine and interdisciplinary research addressing high-risk pregnancy, maternal disease, fetal health or perinatal outcomes is welcome. Clinical studies, case reports, reviews, imaging and diagnostic research, fetal therapy studies, maternal-fetal outcome research and innovative approaches relevant to the session are also encouraged.
