Title: Prevalence of ovarian tumor: A descriptive cross-sectional study

Abstract

This retrospective cross-sectional study was done by gynae-oncology department of National Institute of Cancer Research& Hospital (NICRH). 226 patients of ovarian tumor were enrolled for this study which was conducted from June 2022 to December 2022. Majority (30.04%) of patients had adenocarcinoma whereas, only 0.44% of patient complaint for non-hodgekin lymphoma. It was also evident that, only 0.44% patient were in 5-9 years of age group. On the other hand, most of the patients (62%) of ovarian cancer patients were in 40-49 years of age group. Overall, elderly patients were more prone to have ovarian tumor comparing to young women. By early diagnosis, it can be completely treated. 

Biography

Kashefa Khatun has completed her MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka, Bangladesh in July 2006. She has more than 25 years of clinical experience. There are nine published articles of her in various reputed journals and many more research works in the pipeline.
