Abstract
Cervical cancer is a global burden that continues to increase throughout the world. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression is increased in preinvasive lesions, early to advanced stages of cervical cancer, and its upregulation mainly occurs in patients with differentiation, metastasis, and poor prognosis. This study aims to analyze the COX-2 expression on the risk of mortality in patients with cervical cancer. There are no factors correlated with COX-2 expression. Any variable does not influence COX-2 expression in this study.

Ayu Fatmawati is a medical doctor from Hasanuddin University, Indonesia. She is the Senior Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident, at Hasanuddin University, Indonesia.
